This must have been genuinely terrifying to witness.
Last Tuesday, the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii erupted, forcing almost 2 000 people to evacuate their homes because of the relentless lava flow.
According to the BBC, resident Keith Brock returned home to the Leilani Estate neighbourhood – which is literally being swallowed up by lava – to collect his belongings.
Instead, Brock found spewing, red-hot lava outside his garden.
Hectic AF. And what a way for this poor garden to go!
Standing at least 27 metres away from the shooting lava fountains, the guy risked his life to film the lava, and he shared the footage on his Facebook page.
Look at how intense this lava flow is, and how dangerously close it was to Brock:
Sadly, Brock’s home (and garden) was one of 36 homes destroyed by the lava flow.
Sending good thoughts and vibes your way, Hawaiian friends – keep safe!
