You might never have a chance to own a Michelangelo Buonarroti masterpiece, but you could live in the house that was owned by the famous Renaissance artist.
The Italian villa, in which Michelangelo’s spirit no doubt remains, is on sale for a cool $9 million (R104 million). In 1549, he purchased the Tuscan property in Chianti, and it remained in the Buonarroti family until 1867.
The current owner restored the property to accurately detail its rich history, and he even holds copies of the original documents and deed to the home, according to Handsome Properties, the real estate agents who have listed the house.
With 10 bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and sitting on 12 916 square metres, it’s quite the gem:
I would not mind spending the rest of my days in that house.
