When Jim Carry began painting six years ago to “mend a broken heart”, little did we know that he would take to Twitter to share his creations.
And, well, we couldn’t be happier. It’s a refreshing feed that you should totally add to your list of followers. Check it here.
Colourful, manic and often commenting on what’s happening in the world, his latest piece of work is what looks like a resemblance of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, explains TIME.
Yes, yes, Sanders is the “fat slob” that has somehow managed to hold down what could be considered the world’s hardest job – defending Donald Trump.
As for the portrait – of course it’s her. Since November, Carrey has been busy creating satirical cartoons of the Trump administration and Republican congressmen (and he has even attempted to take down Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, too).
What do you think?
Scary stuff.
Clearly taking a dig at Sanders, the tweet also mimics Donald Trump’s own use of social media, except Carrey forgot to put “Monstrous” in all-caps. Rookie:
Coming to Sanders’ defence, many called Carrey “sexist’ – but the cutest reaction was from Sanders’ father, former governor of Arkansas and presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee:
A spokeswoman did confirm that the painting is Carrey’s, but she would not confirm whether it was of Sanders.
Here are a few more White House-based artworks from Carrey:
Total genius.
