The Proteas have just shown remarkable resolve to fight back in the second test in Port Elizabeth, with AB de Villiers and Kagiso Rabada putting in two memorable performances.
Sadly, it looks like we have seen the last of Rabada for this series, as he now faces two separate disciplinary charges from the test match.
One is for his shoulder brush with Steve Smith in the first innings, a level two offence, and the second is for celebrating in the face of David Warner in the second innings.
Because he already sits on five demerit points, it seems certain that he will be suspended for at least one, but more likely both, of the remaining tests in the series.
Let’s take a look at what happened in the first over of this morning’s play, though, with Rabada bowling Mitchell Marsh. The Ozzie didn’t enjoy that very much – video via this tweet from @Dazza_20:

You can trust your instincts there, or you can rely on the world’s biggest cricket site, Cricinfo:
[Marsh] added to the growing list of this series’ unsavoury moments when television cameras captured his verbal riposte to Rabada after he was bowled on the fourth morning in Port Elizabeth. In the first over of the day, Marsh was comprehensively bowled by a ball that sliced between his bat and pad, and, as Rabada ran past in celebration, the Australian was seen mouthing the words “f*** you c***” while turning his head towards the bowler.
So, are we going to continue to see the cricket’s Big Three – Australia, England and India – held to different standard, while KG Rabada is hauled before the match referee for his actions?
Our ace quick should never have been involved in either of his incidents, knowing full well that the Ozzies spoke before the tour about pushing him over the edge and getting him suspended, but is shouting “YES” in Warner’s face as bad as calling someone a ‘c*nt’?
Guess their coach won’t mind, given that he admitted to calling the Sri Lankan “black c*nts” during his playing days. Sorry, mate, that’s fair game when your players are dragging KG’s name through the mud.
All eyes on the ICC, and whether or not they now charge Mitch Marsh.
Also, if you wore one of those Sonny Bill masks, you’ve lost all right to complain about fairness in cricket. Sies man, you’ve made us look like a bunch of pigs right around the world.
