This Is What The World’s Narrowest Restaurant Looks Like

There are all sorts of restaurants out there competing to be the best of their kind, but how about the world's narrowest? Table for one, please.

It’s less that 2,4 metres wide but, extending a full 32 metres in length, it is able to squeeze in six two-tops, five four-tops and even a long table capable of seating parties of 10.

That’s around 42 people at a time, in what is considered the world’s narrowest restaurant.

Located in Cordoba, Argentina, El Papagayo was bought by architect Ernesto Bedmar 33 years ago and initially turned into a loft. However, “as it started to deteriorate and turned less profitable”, he began thinking about what else he could use it for, reports Travel & Leisure.

He then met chef Javier Rodriguez and the idea for El Papagayo, meaning corridor, was born:

Of course, the restaurant has a kitchen, and also manages to fit not one, but three bathrooms and an office upstairs:

To liven up the potentially dark space, the ceiling is almost entirely made of glass, which allows natural light to pour in.

A look at the plans, from the side and top respectively:

And, well, according to Yelp, it’s worth the squeeze.
