Generally, when you get the urge to put foot and drive extremely fast as the road in front of you clears, something in your brain snaps and brings you back to reality.
You keep calm and continue driving under the speed limit.
Well, one local driver didn’t quite let the thought process finish, and gave into his need to speed.
Driving a Lamborghini without registration plates or other identifying marks (naughty), a driver was caught travelling well over 250km/h on the N1 between Sable Road and Plattekloof, reports Wheels24.
You know the area? Must have been nice, especially if you have to sit in that distressing traffic every day:
The City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, reported that the suspect was promptly arrested for reckless and negligent driving:
“This incident is yet another example of the absolute disdain some road users have for the rule of law. I’m not sure how anyone thinks driving at such high speed on a public road is acceptable under any circumstances. We are usually flooded with complaints about the behaviour of public transport drivers, but the fact is that the behaviour of many categories of road users is nothing short of atrocious.”
A sneaky pic of the speedster in action:
Wonder if he was flexing his skills for an upcoming race against a traffic cop.
