British football fans are hooligans but, as a general rule, rugby fans tend to behave with a touch more decorum.
Of course there are exceptions to every rule, and those would be the twats that thought it appropriate to verbally and physically abuse English coach Eddie Jones.
Saturday saw the Scots defeat England in the Six Nations, a result that would have sparked a nationwide drinking binge.
In other words, Saturday in Scotland.
Sunday rolled around, and Jones thought he would use public transport to make his way from Edinburgh to Manchester. Suffice to say that didn’t go as planned, with some Trainspotting-style Scots dishing out the verbals.
This is why you never pose for a selfie with a bunch of lads clearly in the midst of a bender:
That ginger twat needs a right talking to.
According to the Sport24, he was also physically assaulted:
Asked if the abuse was physical or verbal, Jones told reporters at England’s training camp in Oxford: “A bit of both. It’s part of the challenge. As an Australian coaching England, there were always going to be challenges and that’s just one of them”…
“I’m a human being,” he said. “I don’t consider myself any different from anyone else, so for me to travel on public transport I thought was OK.
“But I’ll make sure I won’t in future. It’s as simple as that.”
The Scottish Rugby union weren’t impressed:
Hear hear.
Let’s leave the hooliganism to the footie fans, innit.
