It’s the most prestigious photojournalist prize in the world.
Now, for the first time in the competition’s 63-year history, the World Press Photo Contest has unveiled the six finalists before the announcement of the winner.
The selection showcases the most striking news photographs from around the world, and the winner will be announced in Amsterdam, on April 12, reports The Guardian.
The photos, seen below, were selected by a panel of judges from over 100 000 submissions.
