We know that it’s all hands on deck for the Hawks over at Saxonwold, and now we can get some kind of idea about what happened once they entered the Gupta compound.
The body blows just keep on coming, with the latest report on News24 saying sources have confirmed the arrest of one Gupta brother and a business associate.
Moments ago they also reported that a third person has been arrested, with another two expected to hand themselves over.
Also, the Hawks are coming for Duduzane Zuma, which is just the cherry on top.
Times LIVE spoke with someone familiar with the elite unit’s investigation into state capture, who said “officers were looking for specific documentation and electronic devices”:
“These guys are searching all the rooms‚ literally going through the place inch by inch. It’s very specific items that they are looking for here and elsewhere‚” the source said.
“The concern is that because the Guptas have known about this (state capture investigation) things might have disappeared. But so far things are looking good.”
A separate Hawks source said they had carried out other raids away from the media spotlight‚ which had yielded good results.
“You wouldn’t believe the size of the compound. It’s like a rabbit warren. Dozens of rooms‚ nooks and crannies. It is going to be a long process to find what we are looking for.”
A home perfectly designed for criminals, you might say.
Some footage from earlier this morning outside the gates:
How charming is that guy towards the end?

The Hawks have just released this statement to the media:
We might have already paid for the Guptas wedding at Sun City, but the honeymoon ends now.
