It’s popular for early viewers to drop extremely high or low ratings on movie review sites, but the question is, will those reviews hold up when the film enters the mainstream?
Well, fans of Marvel’s Black Panther are hoping so – and critics are convinced, calling it the best Marvel movie ever made.
When the trailer first dropped last year July, it racked up 89 million views in just 24 hours. Now, it is making a massive impression on Rotten Tomatoes.
Those who have seen the superhero movie cannot stop purring about it, encouraging everyone and anyone to get into theatres as soon as it drops, reports HuffPost:
The early Rotten Tomatoes score for the film was already 100 percent after the first 55 reviews went up Tuesday.
Critics are saying that the film “elevates superhero cinema to thrilling new heights while telling one of the MCU’s most absorbing stories ― and introducing some of its most fully realized [sic] characters.”
But, there’s a catch.
Both Wonder Woman and Captain America: Civil War had 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes in early reviews, “but ended up at 92 percent and 91 percent, respectively”. If Black Panther manages to stay at 100%, it’ll be the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and DC universe) to garner a perfect rating.
Fingers crossed – here’s the trailer, if you have no idea what it is I am talking about:
And how about these kids at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, who were so stoked when they found out that their school was going to see the movie that they threw a dance party:
Cute.
