Americans aren’t exactly known for being understated, and the Super Bowl is a decent representation of their love for excess.

The world’s biggest companies spend millions on commercials, the halftime show is completely over the top (sorry, J Timberlake, you flopped), and when you win you get a massive Super Bowl ring to commemorate the occasion.

Added bonus – the ring can be flogged off years down the line when the cash runs out due to a lack of financial foresight.
