Another week, another case of edibles taking their toll.
It’s not the best look when two cops get high during a crackdown on weed dispensaries, but when it leads to the discovery of one of the most random social media accounts, you know you have found a winner.
After raiding a dispensary Saturday night, two officers from Toronto’s 13 Division, still on the clock, dabbled in the evidence they had taken from the scene.
When they didn’t feel the effects of the edibles straight away, they ate more. And then some more again.
Rookies.
Once the drugs did kick in, however, the duo panicked. Still on the clock, they called an ambulance and fellow coppers to help them out.
More from iheartradio:
[W]hen backup arrived, one of the impaired officers took off running. At least some of the backup officers followed, with one slipping in the process and suffering an injury.
Toronto Paramedics say they received a call for someone needing help with a medical condition near Oakwood Ave and Vaughan Rd at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
Spokesperson Kim McKinnon tells NEWSTALK 1010 a man was taken to hospital with some sort of medical condition. A second person was also taken to hospital with what McKinnon described as some sort of “minor trauma” though she could say not say what caused the injury.
The officers have been identified as Const. Vittorio Dominelli [pictured with the guitar up top], a 10-year veteran, and Const. Jamie Young, who has put in two years of service. They have since been suspended from duty, pending investigation.
After reporting the incident, some folks discovered that Dominelli had been running a very colourful Twitter account.
Although it has since been taken down, two videos were salvaged; both featuring Dominelli in police uniform.
One has “Because I Got High” playing, and the other has him dancing to Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor”:

Begs the question whether this is the first time he has eaten edibles?
