You have to count your blessings when you’re involved in a plane crash and you come away “barely injured”.
That was the case over on KZN’s Illovo Beach on Saturday morning, where a plane carrying two people hit the sand.
According to Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson the crash occurred at around 7AM, and paramedics responding to the call found the plane lying on its roof.
The plane’s two occupants were found outside of the plane, without injury, so perhaps the pilot deserves some credit for pulling off such a landing.
The exact cause of the crash is still being investigated, but Rescue Care was on the scene to film this video:
