If hiking Lion’s Head is your thing, you might have noticed the shiny new Vida e Caffè van that has made itself at home under the shade in the parking lot at the bottom of the trail.

Maybe you’ve tested a few of its delicious offerings already, because we all know how a good cup of coffee and a decent brekkie is needed once you have conquered the summit.

We first caught wind of it from Jacques van Embden, who shared the semi-permanent van on his Twitter account:

Indeed, but also good news for those wanting to grab a coffee to recharge the batteries before the long day ahead.

Thankfully the Vida van is set to be there all summer long, and they’ve even made themselves at home at another well-trekked Cape Town spot, Constantia Nek.

Apart from almond milk flat whites, alternative hot beverages and frios (those delicious blended ice drinks), the Vida e Caffè vans also offer the delicious food menu found in-store:

• Assorted muffins
• Granola pots
• Chicken mayo toastie
• Ham, cheese & tomato Toastie
• Caprese toastie
• Chourico, cheese & tomato Quesadilla
• Assorted Biscuits
• Assorted Snacks

Oh, and from December 1, they will be running Vida’s famous bacon, egg and cheese toastie with a solo coffee special for a mere R49.

Boom – because you’re worth it.

But if you prefer to freshen up before you eat, there’s always one of Vida e Caffe’s new deli-styled cafes dotted around the country to get your food fix at.

Yup, the traditional grab-and-go coffee shop has grown up, and they’re offering a delicious summer menu for those of you wishing to say an appropriate Ola to summer.

First off, there’s the “best burger in Cape Town” offer, which comes with bacon, avo & mozzarella, for R69.
