I’ve never been one for bikes, and I have it on good authority that hopping on one when you’re not experienced can end in disaster.

Many people have had the misfortune of the heavy-handed throttle, and the subsequent zoom across the road or into a wall, but it’s pretty embarrassing when you’re stuck in the middle of traffic during your struggle.

Take for example this metro policewoman, filmed by Leana van Wyk at Hillfox in Johannesburg last Friday morning, who has having some trouble with her bike.

By some trouble we mean much, because this one goes on a while.

After being uploaded to Facebook by Leana’s brother-in-law, the views currently sit at more than 1,1 million:

Pretty awkward.

Whilst many have poked fun at the woman’s, um, lack of athleticism, the real mishap was where she parked the bike.

…the problem appears to be that the bike is on a slope; and as moto vlogger Bilal Al Ali explained “the land is not stable from the kick stand… the bike is heavy and the cop is short, so it won’t work until the cop pulls the bike into stand land…”

Stomach in, chest out, kick stand also out.

Maybe she should email Seth (editor@2oceansvibe.com) and he can hook her up with a Vespa? Seems like that might be a little easier to handle.
