Boom – that’s a pretty rough Friday for old Oscar P.
Here’s EWN:
The Supreme Court of Appeal has lengthened Oscar Pistorius’s prison sentence from six years to 13 years and five months.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) argued in its appeal that the six-year sentence was shockingly lenient for the crime of murder and asked that the prescribed minimum term of 15 years be imposed.
Here’s Justice Legoabe Willie Seriti, who presided over the matter:
“The sentence imposed by the…[high court] with respect to murder is set aside and substituted with the following – the respondent’s imprisonment for 13 years and five months.”
According to Seriti, Pistorius should have received that 15 years.
Sorry, pal.
