Life shall go on!
That, I am sure, is what Robert Mugabe is thinking, today stepping out in public for the first since the “coup” to attend the Zimbabwe Open University graduation.
Mugabe arrived at the ceremony in Harare, dressed in a blue academic gown and tasselled hat.
Dashing as ever, it wasn’t long before he was caught taking a little nap – at least that’s what Business Insider thinks:
Al Jazeera aired live footage of the president in a cap and gown, seated in front of a microphone. He appeared to be fast asleep. His eyes were firmly closed for some time and his head lolled in slumber.
While we have yet to find video footage of the scene, Business Insider did provide a snapshot:
Although this isn’t the first time the 93-year-old dictator has been caught catching a few winks while on the job – here and here – one may excuse him now as he has clearly been through a lot over the past two days.
Pfffft, poor boy.
