Surprise, Eminem is back.
If his Donald Trump freestyle rap wasn’t enough of a hint that he was about to drop some new tracks, then you don’t quite know how PR works.
But it’s okay, we got you.
The new track was released on Friday, called “Walk on Water,” and features a surprise collab with Queen Bey.
As TIME describes it, the track is “a soaring, emotionally resonant step in the return to the spotlight of one of rap’s boldest voices”:
Over the course of five minutes and the backing of a melodic piano track, an introspective Eminem reflects on the challenges of living up to his own lauded reputation, with Beyoncé agreeing in a chorus.
“Why are expectations so high? Is it the bar I set, the arms I stretch, but I can’t reach?” he raps, kicking things off.
“I’ll walk on water, but I ain’t no Jesus,” Bey then follows up in the chorus. “I’m only human, just like you. I’ve been making my mistakes, oh if you only knew. I don’t think you should believe in me the way that you do, because I’m terrified to let you down.”
It’s a particularly accurate refrain for both stars, who have been consistently deified for their work – take a look:
I wonder what the official music video will look like.
