During Seth’s casual 5km run yesterday morning, he noticed something that would change his understanding of two neighbouring suburbs’ property price differences forever.
So much so, he decided to record his observation so you can understand, too.
You see, his route takes him from Camps Bay along the edge of Clifton and back.
It was after he turned around that he noticed a stark difference between the two – take a look:
Did you see it? The choppy waters just on the other side of The Ridge and Cliff Road, the most expensive streets in South Africa?
Interesting, isn’t it?
Well, let’s take things further and have a snoop at the prices of two four-bedroom properties from each suburb for a bit of a price comparison, shall we?
From Pam Golding, these two properties in Camps Bay sit on 800 – 1100m2 of property and go for a smilier range price:

These two properties in Clifton, however, show a slightly different side of things. Their property sizes are a mere 350m2 yet are priced R10 million more than their Camps Bay counterparts.

And all because of something called the south easter. Typical.
