Marilyn Manson, our favourite shock rocker, was only three dates into his ‘Heaven Upside Down Tour’ when a falling prop brought the show to an abrupt end.
Performing at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York this past weekend, Manson sustained injuries after two large guns held together with metal scaffolding fell to the floor as he attempted to climb the prop, reports BBC.
He landed on his back.
Stage crew immediately attended to Manson, who reportedly lay on the stage for about 15 minutes before he was removed on stretcher and someone announced the show was over.
Watch the incident unfold below from around the 1:35 mark:
The band was about 45 minutes into their set and was performing their cover of Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” at the time of the incident.
They have postponed nine tour dates, reports Business Insider:
The postponed dates include Boston, Chicago, Toronto and Houston. The tour will pick up in Grand Prairie, Texas on Oct. 15.
Just in case you were planning on attending any of them.
Let’s hope it was all a bit of a shock rather than anything serious.
