Growing up around False Bay, whale sightings were a common occurrence, and one almost becomes a little desensitised to their annual appearance.
But that’s just me being hella spoilt.
For those of you who haven’t experienced the beauty of watching whales frolic in the ocean, you need to take a look at the video below.
Captured in Walker Bay during the Hermanus Whale Festival this past weekend, drone photographer Luke Maximo Bell‘s spectacular two-minute video of southern right whales is a must-see.
Describing the video, Bell said:
“I used a drone to capture these majestic creatures as best as I possibly could! It was an incredible experience to see them play and swim in the ocean so nearby the shore.”
And the track? Jacob Shea & Jasha Klebe – The Sloth from Planet Earth II.
Sold.
Turn on your 4k and up your volume:
So moody. So seductive. So excited to see Planet Earth: Blue Planet II.
Between that and the last drone video we shared with you featuring the sunfish, it might be high time your got yourself a DJI Spark. Just like the name suggests, the Spark is smaller than the Mavic, costs R8 699, and is available here.
Seth will be reviewing it this month from Cabine du Cap, so watch out for that in the near future.
