You’re a fan of something, surely? It could be rugby, or Star Wars, or even Kylie Jenner now that she’s preggers.
In the same way that you are a fan of whatever it is, a furry is a fan of something, too – specifically of media that features anthropomorphic animals.
In other words, animals who walk, talk, and do otherwise human things.
While it may not seem like the most bizarre thing to be a fan of, furries tend to attract the weird vibes because they go so far as dressing up as the animal characters – whether it be a fox, dragon, rabbit or any other fantastical made-up creatures – which makes it all a little different.
There’s even a CIA episode called ‘Fur And Loathing’ which made furries seem more perverse then they really are.
VICE went to an underground furry party and bowling event “to meet people who say the community has actually saved their lives”, to offer a rather different view.
