North Korea Responds To Trump’s Threat To Totally Destroy Them

The Donald had a ball labelling Kim Jong Un "Rocket Man", but of course North Korea had a clap back of their own. Maybe the gloves are finally coming off.

Hey America, your president stood in front of the United Nations and thought he was being smart when he called Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man”.

It’s tough to know where to begin unpacking that one, but then again we know Trump loves a meme (HERE).

His comments about North Korea’s Supreme Leader spawned thousands of them, and that one up top is decent, but my favourite is this below:

Great shoulder puffs.

We knew that Kim and his cronies would come out swinging, so here’s the BBC with those details:

[North Korea’s top diplomat Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho] told reporters near the UN headquarters in New York: “There is a saying that goes: ‘Even when dogs bark, the parade goes on’.”

“If [Trump] was thinking about surprising us with the sound of a barking dog then he is clearly dreaming.”

Speaking about North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Mr Trump had told the UN: “Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime.”

When asked what he thought of Mr Trump calling Mr Kim “rocket man”, Mr Ri responded: “I feel sorry for his aides.”

I would feel sorry for them too, if they weren’t complicit in the mess.

Here’s some spicy info – Mr Ri is set to give an address at the UN on Friday, so expect plenty of Trump close ups and a flurry of angry tweets.

The soap opera that is international politics continues.
