When someone whispers the word “Caprice”, Cape Town locals immediately associate it with Camps Bay’s split-level Sunday night jol.
Others might think of the sandwich (that’s caprese, dahling).
We all know Cafe Caprice is a good day-time escape from the office, but check out this recent review:
Recovering from a heinous laryngitis, it was a real pleasure to sit in the sunny open windows of Caprice, catching up work, while occasionally letting my eyes delight in the softly rolling waves dancing on the golden sands of Camps Bay beach. Along with a tasty chicken wrap and good coffee, it was a most cheerful way to spend a sickly recovery lunch, being served by the most delightful of “peach gypseas”, Clare. Thank you
Well, that reviewer isn’t the only one to give Caprice five stars.
Using hotel, restaurant and tourist attraction reviews written by experts for publications such as Lonely Planet, Travel + Leisure, Bon Appétit and New York Times, the reviews found on the online site TripExpert are different to most:
Cut through the noise of user reviews, which are unreliable and misleading. Instead, listen to the professionals who know best. We’ve got them all in one place.
The TripExpert Score is calculated using expert reviews from 70+ publications including travel guides, magazines and newspapers. We take into account the number of publications that have reviewed a specific venue, as well as any score or rating that has been awarded.
The TripExpert Score is the authoritative statement of overall quality.
And TripExpert recently awarded Cafe Caprice an “Experts Choice” award, which means they’re on top form:
Cafe Caprice was announced as a winner of the TripExpert Experts’ Choice Award. The Award reflects the views of journalists and professional travel writers and is bestowed on only the best restaurants around the world.
With approval from reviewers such as DK Eyewitness and Rough Guide, Cafe Caprice is featured on TripExpert.com as one of the best restaurants in Cape Town. “
I rate it’s their burgers:
Ja, bra.
Have you ever taken a bite out of a Dreamy Burger? It’s the best thing that side of the Twelve Apostles mountain range:
So, next Tuesday is a date?
