South African politics is an all out battlefield right now.
It seems that the Cyril Ramaphosa allegations didn’t have the desired effect (no one cares), so sometimes you have to up the ante.
How about someone spraying the car of Kenny Kunene with bullets on Tuesday evening in a hit, a story quickly picked up by ANN7:
Some details via HuffPostSA:
…Kunene was on his way home after hanging out with his friend, Sunday Independent editor Steve Motale.
“I’m not okay. Fortunately nobody is hurt. I wasn’t hurt,” he told the publication shortly after the alleged incident.
According to Kunene, Motale’s bodyguard warned them “not to drive together”.
…According to Kunene, the police couldn’t be bothered and left without collecting evidence such as bullet casings.
Well isn’t that handy?
I tell who isn’t buying Kenny’s story – the ANC Youth Leage Collins Chabane subregion in Limpopo.
Here’s the statement released yesterday by spokesperson of the subregion, Mj wa Azania.

Times LIVE are also unsure as to whether or not Kenny is yanking our chains:
Kunene told The Times on Tuesday night there were at least five rows of bullet holes in his car. However, a source who was at the scene said there were not more than eight bullet holes in the car.
Although Kunene has described himself as “facing death” and said on the night that he was “not okay”, the eyewitness said both Kunene and the woman he was with were extraordinarily calm.
“They were all chilled. They didn’t seem to be in shock at all. They were smiling and happy. A JMPD Quantum was there. Then Kunene made a phone call and a Jeep and a Range Rover arrived.”
…Despite the security guard, the homeless people and an insider confirming police were on the scene, Kunene told news channel ANN7 shortly after the incident that police had not arrived and had not picked up any of the bullet casings.
Oh Kenny, so desperate for attention.
