With Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain mounted perfectly in the background, footage of a variety of ocean giants spotted just off Bloubergstrand is a gorgeous display of what Mother Nature has to offer.
Posted by Exclusive Aerials, a YouTube channel that “shares videos of some of the coolest aerial / drone footage from around the world”, the footage was captured by drone pilot Herman Oosthuizen, reports Good Things Guy.
Oosthuizen shot it in 4K – meaning it’s “crystal clear”.
It starts off with footage is of a pod of hundreds of dolphins swimming and playing in the water. An aerial shot of a sunfish swimming along is just the coolest, they are odd looking fish but fascinating to see.
Lastly they showcase stunning shots of whales in the bay. From mother and baby swimming along to one whale breaching.
Make sure to turn your quality to 4K and watch the incredible footage below. The music isn’t too bad, either:
Got you thinking about that DJI Spark again, huh? It is whale season, and it’s clear the water beasts are the ideal subject to film with a drone.
Just like the name suggests, the Spark is smaller than the Mavic and only costs R8 699, so you don’t have to invest too much to begin filming whales, dolphins and even sunfish.
How cool was that sunfish though? Imagine what else you could find.
