That Prince Harry is one lucky chap.
The royal has been dating actress Meghan Markle for a while now, although she has kept very quiet about her relationship with Harry.
Enter the cover story for the October edition of Vanity Fair, where Meghan finally opened up and spoke about what it takes to make such a relationship work.
You can read the full interview HERE, but we’re going to get the basics down via TIME:
The Suits star, who attended her first public event with Harry at the Coworth Park Polo Club in Ascot, England, in May, told the magazine that she met the prince for the first time in July 2016. “We’re a couple,” she said of their relationship. “We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”
…The 36-year-old added that she is grateful for the support system around her, which includes “[her] boyfriend’s support.” Markle also admitted that she avoids reading about herself in the news. “I don’t read any press,” she said. “I haven’t even read press for Suits. The people who are close to me anchor me in knowing who I am. The rest is noise.”
So what drew Harry to Meghan, other than her being incredibly good looking?
A close friend is the actress Abigail Spencer, who has been a Suits cast member. When asked why she thinks Harry was drawn to Markle, Spencer says, “She’s got warm elegance, though her style is hard to pin down. It’s classy and timeless. When you’re talking to her, you feel like you’re the only person on the planet. And it’s just wonderful to see her so in love.”
They’re happy. Everyone’s happy. What a time to be alive.
