They call it sexercise for a reason but sorry chaps, two minutes is still two minutes.
In case you’re playing catch up, a Fitbit is basically an activity tracker which measures your physical movement over the course of a day.
It monitors your heart rate, how well you slept, how many steps you’ve taken and whether or not you’re really happy or just living a lie.
OK, not the last one.
Anyway it appears that many men are wearing these during sex, with cricketer Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff admitting so earlier this week. He says it makes him try harder – a moment of silence for his wife Rachel.
She hates it, according to the Telegraph:
‘Things are happening and then your husband’s wrist is flashing telling him his heartbeat and how hard he’s working. It’s really wrong. It’s putting me off though. It’s like you’re seeing it as another training session rather than anything else. It’s really not nice.’
When it comes to what happens between the sheets, ‘trying harder’ doesn’t always mean a better time for all:
More aggressive thrusting does not, nine times out of 10, equate to better sex. In fact it often leads to much worse sex and I’ve never met a woman whose idea of a good time is a man climbing on top of her and ploughing away until his wrist starts buzzing.
…the Fitbit is a distraction from that goal. It turns your sexual partner’s body into a training ground and makes sex into a competition – one that you are having with yourself and really doesn’t have a winner in the end.
I thought the winner was the person who finishes first? Jokes, it’s all about returning the favour.
Speaking of returns, remember when we spoke about Fitbit and how many people are returning faulty products?
Our last contact was back in August, when Seth penned THIS – still waiting.
Oh well, maybe good things come to those who wait.
