It’s a well known fact that just a few years ago Conor McGregor was collecting welfare cheques in Ireland, and his rag to riches story has been widely covered.

Now, in the wake of his defeat to Floyd Mayweather, some attention has turned towards long-term girlfriend Dee Devlin, who is also the mother of Conor’s child.

You know, this little guy:

The pair have been together for more than nine years, with Devlin giving birth to Conor Jr. earlier this year, and the Irishman attributes much of his success to his long-term partner.

Many are predicting that he will drop knee soon, either this year or early in 2018, but for now let’s focus on Dee via the Mirror:

Dee hails from Walkinstown in Dublin

Devlin originally hails from Walkinstown, Co Dublin and like McGregor, is incredibly proud to be Irish.

She has stuck by McGregor through everything

The fighter admitted he is incredibly thankful to his longtime love for sticking by him through everything.

He said: “My girlfriend worked very hard throughout the years and stuck by me when I had essentially absolutely nothing.

“I only had a dream that I was telling her.

“For me to be able to take her out of work, give her everything she’s ever wanted and to travel the world with her fills me with pride. It keeps me going.”

Devlin always knew The Notorious would be a success

When asked about what she thought about McGregor’s success, Dee said it was only a matter of time before her partner reached the next level.

She added: “He’s always been super confident, we always knew this was going to happen – it was nearly like we were predicting the future.

The loved-up pair work together

To support Conor on the road, Dee quit her job to be able to travel more.

He hired her on as an official member of his team, where she currently manages his finances.

On his girlfriend’s new job, McGregor said: “She does not work anymore, I hired her to the business. She works for me now and collects the cheques.”

Fair play – here’s hoping they both take a break and enjoy some of that cash. If his post-fight boozy press conference is to be believed, it’s first stop Ibiza and that private yacht (HERE).

That video was posted HERE in the hours after his win, but may have been filmed at some point in the past.

We know that he did party after the fight in the strip club he owns, Girl Collection, so who knows what happened afterwards.
