When you come to Cape Town, make it count.
That seems to be what Charlize Theron is all about, maxing and relaxing on the Sea Point promenade (HERE) and popping up at schools with a certain Trevor Noah.
The pair paid a surprise visit to Oaklands High School in Lansdowne yesterday, and joined in on the ‘African Haka’.
T-No posted this video on his Instagram account:
Oh yeah, Chelsea Handler was there too.
From EWN:
The private visit formed part of an initiative to promote responsible decisions among learners.
Oaklands High School Principal Reza Patel has told the Pippa Hudson Show the visit was facilitated by NGO Life Choices.
“What’s important is that there is no limit for any child in South Africa that they can really dream as big as they want to. The second important lesson is that they must give back to communities that they come from and I think both the individuals [Theron and Noah] exemplify that kind of thing for us.”
Lekker, you two.
Here’s what T-No had to say:
Thank you Oaklands High and Life Choices for giving us an opportunity to be part of something so amazing. To see how much better a person’s life can be if we just invest in people at a young age is inspiring and eye opening.
Proudly South African, ek se.
