The American magician is perhaps most famous for making the Statue of Liberty ‘disappear’ (a video explanation HERE), but how about crushing Cape Town’s hopes and dreams and making the mountain vanish into thin air?

We’d all be lost and drive around like headless chickens, but I digress.

According to IOL May has always been fascinated with optical illusions, has been performing as a magician for over a decade, and made “Table Mountain vanish”.

The video below shows him performing various tricks, but if you want to see the Mountain vanish then skip ahead to the 12:05 mark:

Apparently they call him the David Blaine of Blouberg.

I’m just worried about the dassies and the tourists on the cable car, Alexander. Did they also vanish?

Any idea how he pulled off this wizardry, friends?
