Is it Gigi or is it Iza?
Apart from being considered a plus-sized model, Iza IJzerman’s (apparently the ‘J’ is also capitalised) facial features bear an uncanny resemblance to Gigi Hadid’s.
The above image is, in fact, one of Iza.
One of the fashion industry’s most recognisable faces, Gigi (as well as her sister Bella) have taken the world by storm in recent months, seen on the runway of nearly every fashion house and on the cover of nearly every fashion magazine.
But then the Internet stumbled upon Iza, a 22-year-old Netherlands-based model and blogger, who has modelled for labels like the swimwear line Alpine Butterfly, reports TIME:
In an interview with Refinery 29, the model shared that people first made the Gigi Hadid comparison on Instagram and that her modeling [sic] agency also thought she looked like the supermodel.
“When I signed with MiLK, they posted a picture with the caption “The new curvy Gigi Hadid”, so that’s the moment I realised it might be true!” she said.
