In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Angelina Jolie talked at length about her upcoming movie, First They Killed My Father (HERE).
In amongst her talking about life post-Brad, she touched on how the auditioning process was conducted when testing for the movie’s lead character.
Jolie was quoted as saying that in order to cast the film, they placed money in front of children and then took it away as a test.
Both Jolie and others associated with the film have since hit back, saying the kids knew they were auditioning and it wasn’t real money, but it certainly helped drum up press ahead of the movie’s premiere.
A synopsis via IMDb:
Cambodian author and human rights activist Loung Ung recounts the horrors she suffered under the rule of the deadly Khmer Rouge.
Not really for the faint of heart:
I wouldn’t call it first date material, but it should tell what is a very compelling story.
