It might not sound all that impressive, but even if you’re ranked 409th in the world you’re still a darn good golfer.
Take Marcel Siem, for example, a German golfer competing on the European Tour.
During his third round at this past weekend’s Porsche Open, he managed to nail a hole in one that plonked straight into the cup without touching sides.
Everyone is going to be stoked with an ace, but the shot also won him a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo worth in excess of R2 million.
I’d be doing a lap of honour, too:
Marcel would rack up a double bogey five on the same hole the very next day, ending the tournament in 60th place and winning around R90 000 in prize money.
Not sure that’s going to cover keeping the bar tab at the clubhouse open for six hours, though.
