Vaka Tuitupou isn’t your normal seven-year-old kid, and his teammates are pretty happy about that.
The Samoan youngster is the star of the St John’s Eagles under-8s, and a video of him running riot in his team’s dominant win over Chester Hill has proven popular online.
My bet is that Vaka would even dominate some of those bigger U13 kids we saw at Craven Week (HERE).
Some footage of the lad in action from Sunrise on 7’s Twitter account:

Again:
As mentioned in the Sunrise video, coaches are limiting his game time. Here’s the Daily Mail:
‘He has played in five games throughout the season and in each of those matches, he has participated in two quarters,’ he said.
‘The child has been described as a gentle giant, and they are monitoring his development throughout the season.
‘Gentle giant’ keeps on coming up:
The chairman of St Johns Eagles, Nasser Matta, has described the boy as a ‘gentle giant’.
‘We just follow the rules,’ Mr Matta [said].
‘This boy’s a gentle giant. He doesn’t just run through the opposition to hurt other kids.’
Probably best for everyone involved if he starts playing against a slightly older crowd, although I would think his teammates might disagree.
