Wow, what a scene.
On the N4 between Malalane and Mbombela (Nelspruit), a cash-in-transit heist went down, allegedly involving four vehicles: a black Mercedes, two BMWs, one grey and one black, and a white bakkie, reports Lowvelder.
And a nearby driver was able to capture it all on camera.
In the video below, you can see an estimated 10 suspects open fire at a Fidelity Security armoured bakkie. Then, out of nowhere, the van explodes and the men can be seen loading the cash

One of the Fidelity guards was injured during the incident and their firearms taken.

According to the Lowvelder, another incident occurred in the area earlier this week. On the R537 between Sabie and Lydenburg:
[A] white Mercedes benz [sic] rammed the security vehicle which was driving towards Lydenburg, causing it to overturn. Another white Mercedes, a blue Ford Focus and an Audi and a Jeep Cherokee were used by the gang of suspects to ambush it.
