Since I stopped being around a television that can screen any one of the numbered BBC channels, game shows are not something I often watch.
But this clip below makes up for those years of missing out – if only to remind me what a load of bollocks it all is.
Aired on BBC Two, Letterbox is a game show which is ” for everybody with no physical games and no tricky quiz questions”.
Ha, funny that.
When contestants were asked to complete the name of a fictional character, the pair successfully got as far as “asimodo”, but weren’t able to figure out what the rest of the letters were, explains TIME.
It was, indeed, too tricky for them.
For everyone else watching the answer was obvious, and it made for an emotional celebration of relief when the last letter was finally announced.
