DJ Rene is a household name in Cape Town.
Since leaving France for a life of music, surf and family in the Mother City, Rene Tanguy’s unique brand of music has the rare ability to get any dance floor popping.
Even if you have no idea who he is, you have more than likely heard his ridiculously catchy music (which includes retro, nu-disco, Latin/Cuban/Brazilian style house music).
Recently, the Frenchman took a well-deserved break, but we are here to tell you that he is back.
Set to play his first show since returning, you can find the exotic beats, live drumming and Afro-brass sounds at HQ this Friday – back where it all started:
To make the evening all the more special, HQ is offering everyone complimentary champers and canapés from 6-8PM on Friday night. With a dress code of smart casual, you can be sure everyone will look the part.
Matt Mulholland, Operations Partner of HQ, reminisces about the partnership between the restaurant and the DJ:
“Friday nights at HQ is where it all began, and we wanted to remind our guests how awesome it is to start the weekend off at the restaurant.
You and your friends can come for an amazing steak or tapas dinner, and then stay for hours after, partying the night away thanks to the beats provided by DJ Rene, AKA The Frenchman.”
