If you have a habit of rocking up to Clifton, only to be hit with a lack of suitable parking space, then this parking bay is just for you!
Advertised as a “plot of land for sale”, while you can’t exactly build a house on it (you could maybe get away with pitching a tent, though), you can safely park your ride before hitting one of the Clifton beaches on those sweltering hot summer days.
How much you ask?
Previous sales of this kind saw agents “sell single basement parking bays in two Clifton residencies for R580 000 and R750 000 back in 2009, while another sold for a staggering R2 million in 2008,” reports Business Tech.
This time, the bay (bae?) is listed on luxury property site Fine & Country and is going for – wait for it – R990 000.
If you’re keen, but need to opt for a bond on the spot, it would cost you around R10 000 for the next, say, 20 years.
Chilled. Here’s the bay from another angle:
Spicy. One million rand doesn’t buy you what it used to, hey?
The bay is situated on the rooftop of the San Michele apartment complex on Victoria Road.
Oh, and it’s totally secure. Look at those gates – no one will be able to enter (especially not the yellow-pants man):
I rate you could pool a group of friends to cover the costs. Definitely worth it, right?
