As with any app, minor flaws need to be ironed out – hence the pesky regular updates.
While you can generally ignore them, this month Uber has added a lekker range of updates for UberEATS that will definitely change your food-ordering experience.
Just look at what UberEATS has in store:
Order your favourites from your desktop
Yup. Pop over to ubereats.co.za and order away. It’s way too easy.
Prefer to plan ahead? Schedule your orders now
Sometimes your food can take a little longer than expected, especially when you’re ordering on a Friday night. Well, now you can schedule an UberEATS order in advance. Simply set your delivery to lunchtime tomorrow or dinner next Friday and you’ll get your food right on time.
That’s huge.
Customise your drop off
Live on the 10th floor of Gardens Centre, and despise going all the way down to fetch your food order? To avoid the awkward stares from people roaming the mall, you can now add a delivery note for more specific instructions.
Sort by price, cuisine…the works
If you watched What the Health last night, and all of a sudden found yourself looking for a vegetarian option but aren’t too sure what’s on offer in your areas, UberEATS can help you out. The new option allows you to sort and filter by price, delivery time, cuisine, or what’s the most popular in your area.
But it’s not only UberEATS upgrading its service this month, because Uber itself has something new to share, too.
Teaming up with Chubb and Road Cover, Uber is now offering insurance cover in the event of injury in an Uber.
While every ride has always been insured, Uber has made extra effort to introduce two new products designed specifically for their operations in South Africa.
Here are the deets:
In the unfortunate event of an accident, the coverage provides passenger accident insurance, which covers compensation for accidental death or serious injury suffered by passengers whilst on a trip with Uber
Nothing like a little reassurance.
If you have yet to sign up for Uber, you can do so by clicking here. It’s a great alternative to driving drunk – duh.
