If you follow Emily Ratajkowski on Instagram, you know she has no problem sharing pictures of herself with little to no clothes on.
But, while having a recent chat to Harper’s Bazaar Australia, Ratajkowski made an interesting claim: she blamed her large breasts for not landing acting jobs.
Although Ratajkowski’s rise to international fame came after starring in Robin Thicke’s controversial video for the song Blurred Lines, reports The Telegraph, Ratajkowski’s tune has long since been changed.
She told Harper’s that:
“There’s this thing that happens to me: ‘Oh, she’s too sexy.’
“It’s like an anti-woman thing, that people don’t want to work with me because my boobs are too big.
“What’s wrong with boobs? They’re a beautiful, feminine thing that needs to be celebrated.
“Like, who cares? They are great big, they are great small. Why should that be an issue?”
Yes, they are great.
Of course, Ratajkowski has copped criticism for the way she displays herself online before, targeted when she posed naked next to Kim Kardashian.
She then defended herself on Twitter by saying:
However sexual our bodies may be, we need to have the freedom as women to choose when & how we express our sexuality.
A while later, when she posed naked for Harper’s Bazaar US, Ratajkowski went so far as to compare herself to Lena Dunham:
When Lena Dunham takes her clothes off, she gets flak, but it’s also considered brave.
When Justin Bieber takes off his shirt, he’s a grown up.
But when a woman who is sexual takes off her top, it plays into something.
She has a point but eish, Miss Ratajkowski, perhaps it’s your acting that is the real problem.
