I don’t want to get too political on here, but pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza.
There, I said it.
Gordon Ramsay has always been outspoken about his disdain for pineapple on pizza, so hats off to him, but he recently revealed that he would make an exception under certain circumstances.
Turns out he might not be such a baddie after all, as TIME reports:
In an Instagram posted Wednesday, the famously sharp-tongued culinary star offered to chow down on the much-maligned pizza topping, but only if his followers come through with donations to the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation, which raises money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital, a children’s hospital in the U.K.
“If we can hit 500 donations in the next 48 hours, I will eat this f–king god-awful PINEAPPLE pizza on Facebook Live,” he wrote on the caption of an image of himself giving an unkind look to the fruit-topped pizza. “Please no,” he included as a doodled thought bubble on the picture.
We feel you, bru.
If you’re part of the anti-pineapple brigade avoid the Hawaiian (duh), Thai Chicken and Caribbean pizzas from Butler’s, but thankfully you’re still good on The Rotherham.
Bacon, feta, salami and less cheese lathered on top – it’s what all the big dawgs are eating.
