As a student, it can take hours upon hours of hard work to create something worthy of your final portfolio. Try to accomplish that in a group and we all know how much longer that takes.
But it paid off for the students of BYU AdLab in Utah, and last month they took home eight awards at the national American Advertising Awards, fondly referred to as the Addys.
Additionally, they took home the top award, Best of Show, for the project “Vespa – Ride to Fly”.
Taking the team 10 times longer than they initially thought, art director Taylor Dahl told the university’s BYU News portal:
“We wanted to get it right. And to see it come to life was so motivating.”
Dahl and five other students created the piece, which was done in their spare time, beginning last summer, and not for a class at all.
They just wanted to make something different, and that they did:
How flipping adorable is that?
If you want to to be like Giuseppe and ride to fly, you can head to a Vespa store close to you and hook yourself with an iconic two-wheeler, because you never know when you might need it to save the day.
Oh, and you should definitely ask Seth if he can hook you up with a deal – editor@2oceansvibe.com, don’t be afraid.
