Say hello to the Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk, a collaborative effort between Canyon bicycles and famed electronic group Kraftwerk.

The bike is super exclusive, with just 21 produced, one of which is being ridden by cyclist Tony Martin in this year’s Tour de France.

So what sets this apart from the rest, other than the fact that it takes seven hours per frameset to complete? The Verge have the inside scoop:

[They will] feature the SRAM wireless eTap groupset, a gear-shifting system that allows riders to shift with electronic switches instead of mechanical cables and switches. The components are placed on a bike, then paired using SRAM’s proprietary 128-bit wireless encryption system, called Airea. Small satellite shifter buttons, called Blips, can also be placed anywhere along the handlebars.

Delightful, I guess.

So you’re keen to see if you can get your hands on one – well, here’s the bad news:

Canyon’s Kraftwerk bikes will be available on canyon.com starting Monday, July 3rd, with a retail price of €10,000 (R150 000).
