You would have thought Kendall Jenner would have learnt something after her Pepsi saga, but alas…
This time, with Kylie in tow, the two released modified “vintage” band tees – using original images of icons such as Pink Floyd, Metallica, Notorious BIG and Tupac as a background for pictures of themselves.
The Kendall + Kylie collection immediately received backlash because, well, how very dare they.
According to CR Fashion Book, the t-shirts were a “limited edition capsule collection that will sell for $125 (R1 600) a shirt”, reports TIME, but have since been pulled from retail and all images of them were removed.
But, of course, that’s not before the Internet got hold of them and shared its disgust at what had happened:
But the real kicker came from Biggie’s mother:
Yes, that’s a silk-screened Instagram image of Kendall.
Sharon Osbourne also chimed in, tweeting:
Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know … lip gloss.
You would hope Kris would have shared the same motherly advice.
Both the sisters soon apologised with the exact same message posted to both of their social accounts:
What a beige apology.
Whoever it was that came up with this concept, do better or just go away.
