When Wes Anderson releases a movie, it’s basically an office scramble to see who can watch it first.
He has a rather unique style of filmmaking that isn’t for everyone, although if you can’t appreciate the aesthetic quality of his movies then chances are you’re dead inside.
TIME lists some of those qualities as “pleasingly symmetrical framing, sherbet-ready pastel colors [sic], and old-fashioned glamorous decor”, which is a pretty decent start.
Over on reddit there’s now a subreddit called ‘Accidental Wes Anderson’, where “users are submitting their photographs of everything from whimsically-designed museums to deserted beaches and playfully-arranged rooms”.
When life imitates art – you dig?
