Oh, baby.
It has been two years since Facebook Africa first opened their doors, but now, with a 42% growth of more than 170 million monthly African Facebook users, Facebook Africa head Nunu Ntshingila (seen above) welcomed press into their brand new, three-storey headquarters in Bryanston, Johannesburg, reports News24.
Taking a group of media representatives on a tour, Ntshingila spoke excitedly about the reveal:
It is a big moment for us. I can’t believe that we’ve finally got here. We have worked really hard, so I feel extremely proud to be standing here with you.
The structural design of the office is the same worldwide. You see the exposed brick walls, concrete and open ceilings, but in every market they use locally sourced culture pieces to recognise the market they are in.
We worked with local design firms and artists to create the space – for instance, our cool braai area – and used artwork such as Lyndi Sales’ installation, which represents our culture of innovation and reflects our mission of connectivity, openness and sharing.
Makes you feel a little proud, doesn’t it?
Watch below to go on your own tour of the offices:
With a vision for openness and connectivity, we can’t help but be reminded of the offices that we have chosen as our home.
Encouraging an open environment, Ideas Cartel’s office space comprises of areas dedicated to hot desks, private offices and communal spaces where a bevy of businesses become neighbours under one roof.
The perfect place if you’re feel a little uninspired from looking at the same four faces every day, hit them up here for some spanking new office culture.
You could be walking through this corridor every day:
You deserve it.
