The actor popped past Oxford’s New College bar, and the rugby team wasn’t about to let him get away without a few chugs.

Suit and tie, check. Beers check. Shoes to drink out of? Check.

I’ve never seen Hugh Grant do a shoe, goes the chant:

Grant, 56, had been invited for a drink at the bar by New College’s rugby club, which contacted him on Twitter last week saying: “Please make sure to bring the NCRFC [New College Rugby Football Club] tie with you next Tuesday for a quiet pint at the bar.”

…Grant won the Galsworthy scholarship to read English Literature at New College, and graduated with a 2.1 honours.

During his time as an undergraduate the Oxford University, he starred in his first film, Privileged, produced by the Oxford University Film Foundation. He also joined the Piers Gaveston Society, famed for its debauchery and decadence.
