As the name suggests, tanzanite is found in only one place on earth: an area of about eight square miles in the Merelani Hills, near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in northern Tanzania.
Unlike many gemstones which were known and used for hundreds of years, tanzanite wasn’t discovered in commercial quantities until the 1960s, but it’s brilliant colours – from lush blue velvets and rich royal purples – fast made it a firm favourite among jewellers and buyers.
Its limited geographical location makes tanzanite one of the only gemstones with a large and rapidly-growing popularity and, since it’s estimated that the current tanzanite resource could be depleted in less than 30 years, many have deemed it a shrewd investment.
So when deals like the one from Diamond Jewellery International come along, you know you can’t resist.
Best suited for earrings, pendants and other jewellery items that will not encounter abrasion and impact, being offered at 50% off, you could soon be gifting an “exquisite handcrafted” piece of jewellery:
Although the special is only available ’til the end of June – so get on it now – if you’re one to plan way in advance, tanzanite is the perfect gift for December babies as it’s their birthstone (and also the gem for 24th anniversaries).
It’s a pleasure.

You never know what you could end up with.
