Some people have style and some people don’t – hey, that’s just how the cookie crumbles.
With a little help from their more fashion conscious friends, however, even those of us who aren’t the most fashion conscious can still get by and look the part.
It never hurts when some of the country’s finest local designers offer a hand, and that’s exactly what the new Wear South Africa (Wear SA) campaign is all about.
They’re staging a number of fashion shows, featuring names like Magents, Democracy of Denim and Wear SA, as well as the always popular bluecollarwhitecollar label.
Working with highly-skilled people in factories around Cape Town, bluecollarwhitecollar are old school, traditional producers who don’t do ‘fast fashion’.
They’re all about timeless style and retro revival, standing by their craft, which is superb quality, a great cut, natural fibres, quirky prints and locally made garments.
I’ll have me all those shirts above, please.
So why should you consider this a chance to overhaul your closet? Because there’s a competition, that’s why.
This from IOL:
